The studio minimum is $200. This minimum price applies to small tattoos, as well. 

We charge an hourly rate for large scale projects. On average sessions range from 3-7 hours depending on the style and how large the piece will be.

A 1-hour prep time is required to draw and map out the tattoo.

Please keep in mind that large scale projects (ie: full sleeves take multiple sessions.) Although Ku’u can work at a fast pace and can get a good amount done in one session, the total time will depend on how well you sit. Clients must have realistic expectations, keeping in mind that tattoos do require a specific amount of time and commitment.

AN ADDITIONAL $250 FEE WILL BE APPLIED TO YOUR TOTAL PRICE IF:
1. Client taps out

2. Client cuts the session short (ie: books a full day, then changes their mind the day of to shorten the session)

3. Client does not sit well (moves too much) or asks for too many breaks because of the sensitivity of the tattoo (resulting in the session being prolonged).

A NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to book an appointment. Deposits range from $200 - $600 depending of the size of the tattoo and how many sessions.

Appointments are made on a first come first served basis. If the deposit isn’t paid, your appointment will not be scheduled.

The deposit will go towards the total cost of the tattoo.

RESCHEDULE POLICY
We understand that life happens and things come up. If you need to reschedule you may do so 1 time per booking. Ku’u requires a full 7 day notice to reschedule your appointment. Notifying us less than 7 days prior to the appointment date, your deposit will be forfeited and a new deposit will be required to set another date. Reschedules must be re-booked within 1 year from the initial booking date.

If you do not give us a notice & you don’t show to your appointment, your deposit will be forfeited and future bookings with Ku’u will not be allowed. 

**If you CANCEL your deposit will not be refunded**. 

Details of the design must be discussed prior to the appointment.

If you are late to your appointment an additional fee will be applied. If you are 20+ minutes late to your appointment, it will result in an automatic cancellation and your deposit forfeited. On occasion Ku‘u will have multiple tattoos in one day, therefore, if you are late this will affect that time she has set aside for other appointments, so please be on time.

Session times vary, therefore, if you are booking a day with Ku‘u please do not make any other commitments that day that will force you to be on a time limit. The tattooing process should not be rushed and Ku‘u works best when she is not limited by time. If you would like to know how long the session will take, Ku'u will try her best to provide a time estimate, however, this is only an estimate. Sometimes sessions may take longer or even less time, this depends on how well you sit.

Ku‘u specializes in a freehand/freestyle method. Her design will be freehanded onto you the day of your appointment, she finds this is the best method to create a custom design that will flow and be unique to each client. Ku‘u does not pre-draw designs prior to the appointment. This does require that the client leaves a lot trust in Ku‘u & her process, and as an artist she will take into consideration your ideas and concepts. Her goal is to give you the best tattoo, one that you will be happy with, and this is best done when she has freedom to translate your idea aesthetically with a professional artist approach. You can provide reference photos of the style or elements you like in order to help Ku‘u create the design. 

If Ku‘u feels she can not portray the elements or designs you are wanting. She will let you know and give her artistic opinion. Sometimes outside elements don’t work with certain styles, and therefore, she will not tattoo them. Her goal is to keep the integrity of the tattoo both cohesive and beautiful. Lastly, Ku‘u will not be accepting projects that don’t reflect the style or aesthetics that she specialize in or wants to explore.

Numbing cream / sprays are not allowed at the moment.

If you show up to your appointment and have applied numbing cream to the area, Ku’u will NOT tattoo you and your deposit will be forfeited.

Proper tattoo aftercare is importan. Depending on the style, body part and healing process most times touch ups are not necessary.

However, areas such as hands, fingers, feet, elbows and knee caps may need touch ups if not properly cared for during the healing process. A fixed set up cost will apply for touch-ups. However, if the time it takes to touch it up exceeds 15 minutes she will begin an hourly rate of 200/hr.

*If Ku'u's has not done the work that you want touched up or revamped her normal hourly rates will be applied.
